I am so very sorry to learn of Aunt Zalene's passing. This is such a difficult loss for the family, although I know she is in a better place with the Lord and
family. I'll always remember that she used to call Mom (her baby sister, Yvonne) "Tootsie"...I never knew why but to this day it brings a smile to my
face. I also remember how she always had bounds of energy. When the sisters would all visit Granny's, or later on Mom's, they would sit around
drinking coffee and laughing until the wee hours of the morning. They always outlasted the kids, yet were up first thing in the morning drinking more
coffee and resuming their laughter. My prayers are with you all. Love,

Nanny..that's what she was to me. I really didn't get to see her much, because she lived so far away. I remember when my brothers and I would go
to Nanny and Pa's house in Virginia for part of the summer..we would always have to address them as ma'am and sir. I would always hate having to
go there, but now that I look back on it, I loved it. Nanny~ you're in a better place now...don't worry my Mommy will take care of you! I LOVE YOU!

When I think of Aunt Zalene, I think of hospitality, good conversation and a warm and genuine smile. I was so grateful when Uncle Bob and Aunt
Zalene moved back to the area. When I was delivering with Fed Ex in the Big Island area, I used to stop by their home and she always offered me
something good to eat and drink. That was a real time of refreshing for me. I would love to hear their stories. I always left lifted up and finished off
my route with lots to think about. I will never forget the strawberry preserves she made. She gave me a jar to take home one day. They were the best
I ever tasted. I can still see her eyes light up when a child came near. Her love for children was so evident. It was as if they fascinated her.

Greetings from Maine. We send our condolences to all the family. I have many fond memories of your mom being the pastors wife in the little
church in Linneus Maine where I was a young youth who loved to hang out with Becky and we never missed church at all. We were there every
Wednesday, Sunday morning and night and Zalene would set up front to the right of her husband as he stood in the pulpit. I remember she was as
little as Bob was tall. That seem to be their trademark. I remember many summer camps we went to and all the fun. I especially remember one night
at summer camp we had comedy night (or something like that) and I remember Bob singing the song about bedtime and taking out his teeth and
removing his eye and his wooden leg. It was so funny; the song went on and on. I will always remember Zalene's great smile and someday we will see
that great grin again. God Bless you all

To the family of Zalene Breeden: She had to have been an outstanding lady just from my knowing Frank and Terri. I am sure that she was very proud
of her children. I celebrate her life with you. And mourn in knowing how hard it is to not have someone that you love to have here on earth. It is only
our confidence in knowing that some day we will all be together again forever. Sincerely,

I have many, many memories of Mom. But I'll make myself just pick one. My favorite memories are of her involvement w/us kids. (By 'us kids', I do
mean any kids that were around, not just her own!) She would be the one to be out in the yard w/us as we played dodgeball, football, baseball, and
any other sport. (Being that she and I were the only females in the house, we had to understand these games or be left out!) But my favorite memory
is when we lived in Linneus, Maine. During those long winters, she wouldn't hesitate a minute upon being invited outside to play. She'd throw the
snowballs right where they were intended to hit....usually on one of 'us kids'. She'd slide down the hills on a sled. And she'd actually enjoy getting
on a snowmobile w/me. Not very often would she get on one, but when she did, I took advantage of it!

I did not have the privilege of knowing Zalene before her illness, but I did have the privilege of knowing her during her illness. Even in illness I could
see the love of Christ in her life. When children would come in she would light up showing her great love for children. She was continually seeking to
take care of her husband showing her dedication and love for him. One phrase she could still plainly say was "I love you." I have memories of sweet
hugs, sweet smile, and hearing her say "I love you." I am thankful to have known this great woman of God.

One of my favorite memories of Mrs. Breeden was in 1986. Frank was on the road with his College job. I was ill and she came for a week to take
care of me. She was up for anything I felt like doing. She would hop in my Ford Escort and drive me all over this city! I was unable to fix my hair.
At that time I had a hair style that required hot steam rollers and lots of hairspray. She said she thought she could fix it for me, but her method was a
bit more old fashioned - she tried to pin curl it for me! Let me just say that, while she had the best intentions, it did not lead me to forsake my
beauty regimen! I always said that we had one huge thing in common - we both loved Frank Breeden. I will always be grateful for the fine job she
did in raising Frank. She taught him how to be a wonderful husband!

When I remember my sweet Aunt Zalene, her constant smile and boundless energy always come first to my mind. Her love for the Lord was so evident
in her life and radiated out of her to touch others' lives. She was a kind, gentle, and compassionate soul and I know the Lord is telling her, "Well done,
my good and faithful servant." What an awesome example for all of us to follow! My deepest sympathy to Uncle Bob, Frank, Kenny, Becky, and Russ
and her much-loved grandchildren, but may you all take comfort that she is with the Lord and you will all be reunited one day!

I have many fond memories of Aunt Zalene, and they all revolve around a common theme: Love. She loved to cook, and was a great cook and
baker. She loved to take care of others, and always put their needs before her own. When my mother was very ill 10 years ago, she and Uncle Bob
were frequent visitors and spiritual supporters (and she always brought home-cooked food). She loved her husband and being a Pastor's wife. The
love between these two wonderful people was evident until the end. She loved her family, immediate and extended. She always welcomed
anyone to her home, wherever she was living at the time. I will miss you Zalene. Heaven has gained a truly special angel. I know that you will
continue to watch over your husband, children, brother, and grandchildren. Love, Vickie
